Understood for Educators
Offers evidence-based resources, classroom videos, and downloadable tools designed to help educators feel more confident in supporting students who learn and think differently. With equity at the heart of our work, we prioritize resources that promote effective teaching for all—including struggling learners, students with learning differences, and English language learners.

Bridges 2e Center for Research and Professional Development
The 2e Center is a first-of-its-kind multi-disciplinary hub where professionals, scholars, and practitioners combine expertise to enhance understanding of the growing population of 2e students. With the unique opportunities afforded by working with a lab school, the Center can encourage and undertake much-needed research, provide courses and workshops for educators and parents, and share resources about the best practices that serve this cognitively diverse, at-risk population. The primary goals of the Center are to create awareness, offer professional development, provide outreach, and generate projects that will improve services for the special population of children known as twice exceptional (2e). The 2e Center operates within a positive psychology framework, emphasizing that more is to be gained from understanding and acknowledging what a child can do than from focusing on deficits and problems –– an approach all-to-common in many schools.

Seth Perler
Seth Perler is a renegade teacher turned Executive Function Coach/Education Coach based who help struggling students navigate a crazy educational landscape and do my part to “disrupt” and improve education. Seth knows that teachers are rarely given the training and resources to meet the needs of all students and that most schools (private and alternative included) fail to understand Executive Function, so adults sometimes make the mistake of believing that these kids are lazy, unmotivated, incapable, not trying hard enough, or that they don’t care about school. Seth offers honest, practical and unconventional approaches to helping complicated, struggling students, without b.s. or misinformation,

SENG (Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted)
SENG is a nonprofit organization that empowers families and communities to guide gifted and talented individuals to reach their goals: intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. The all-things-gifted site, full of resources, articles, books and links to help and support parents, teachers, and gifted children alike. SENG provides support through a variety of programs, all aimed to be inclusive and accessible. We offer online support groups for gifted, talented and twice-exceptional individuals and their parents/guardians, online SENGinars with leading experts, in-person regional mini-conferences and an annual conference, SENG Model Parent Groups (SMPG) and Facilitator Training, SENG Library, SENGVine e-newsletter, Continuing Education courses for professionals, workshops, and more! SENG is a national organization with occasional events and programs in Canada, plus an affiliate organization in Europe.

Belin-Blank Center
Educators have the power to inspire, motivate, support, and nurture. The Belin-Blank Center understands the pivotal role educators play in the lives of the students they serve. We are here to support educators work through coursework and other professional learning opportunities for educators, programming and enrichment for students, and research and resources for school administrations. 

Eye to Eye
Eye to Eye is the only national mentoring movement that pairs kids with ADHD and learning disabilities like dyslexia with college students who have been similarly labeled. Using an arts-based curriculum, Eye to Eye mentors help their mentees understand what it means to be a different thinker: to value their own unique minds by building their self- esteem and giving them the skills to become self-advocates.

The Respect Institute
The Respect Institute is a global organization that builds the capacity of youth influencers to help vulnerable youth achieve positive academic and life outcomes. The overall mission of The Respect Institute is to make respect the status quo.

Child Mind Institute for Educators
The Child Mind Institute is committed to helping educators identify and respond effectively to children with signs of a mental health or learning disorder. And since behavioral issues can disrupt learning for the whole class, we offer actionable strategies that have been shown to help kids behave successfully — making the learning environment better for everyone.
