If you’re a long-time listener of the show, you may have noticed that I’m not releasing “Asher episodes” as frequently as I used to. Now that Asher is fully leaning into his teenage-hood, things are changing a bit here, so I’m giving him lots of space and respecting where he’s at. So while he’s still told me he is definitely up for continuing to record specials, my hunch is they will be more spaced out then they used to be.
If you’re a newer listener, I’ve recorded eighteen short episodes with Asher since we launched in 2016, so I encourage you to go back and check some of them out. Many of our listeners co-listen with their kids, and I’ve heard from many people that these episodes are really useful for parents and kids alike to hear about things from Asher’s POV. To access previous Asher episodes, just click here.
In this new Kid’s POV special, Asher and I talk about areas of interest, as in, what it’s like for Asher to have a deep area of interest, how he’d like me as his parent to support his interests, why he gets interested in the things he does, and more. So if you have a child who likes to dive deep into things — Legos or dinosaurs or trains or bugs — you might gain some useful insights from our conversation.
