SHEPHERDING YOUR GEN Z TEEN TO POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION

Join Debbie of Tilt Parenting for a discussion with Alex Ellison, a college and career consultant who specializes in supporting neurodivergent students. We’ll address your own burning questions, along with the following:
  • Can / should parents coach and counsel their own children about college paths?
  • What to know about this generation’s goals, motivations, and attitudes toward college, career, and life
  • How to support – without helicoptering – the neurodivergent college applicant
  • Knowing when your 2e student may need help and guidance (even when they don’t ask)
  • Preserving the parent-child relationship throughout the college application process
  • Introducing your teen to less conventional post-secondary options and showing them a new “sandbox” to play in
  • Taking a more mindful approach to college admission
  • Infusing levity in what can be a stressful time for students and parents
